BlackBerry Bold’s AT&T release delayed until mid-August

Verizon Wireless buys Alltel - now largest US carrier

After rumors circulated yesterday, Verizon Wireless is now confirming their acquisition of Alltel for around $6 billion. Alltel serves 13 million customers in 34 states and Verizon serves 67.2 million customers.
