Very casually, Steve Jobs killed off the 160GB (thick) iPod classic during today’s Let’s Rock event. Along with that execution, the 80GB version converted itself magically to a 120GB version keeping the same hardware specs (except for storage size). Check out the new iPod classic for a cool $249.

First up from Apple’s ‘Let’s Rock’ event, iTunes. Steve first proclaimed iTunes has 65 million accounts on record and that they are the number 1 music retailer in the US. Steve fit a lot of updates into today’s Let’s Rock event, but here’s a quick breakdown.
iTunes 8.0 brought everything we expected. Some slight UI changes and a new Genius feature that recommends songs based off of what you listen to most. It will also make custom playlists for you besides song recommendations.

Engadget posted a picture of the rumored fourth-generation iPod nano that Kevin Rose called around two weeks ago. The picture does look pretty real, however it is blurry.
