Don’t start jumping up and down just yet, but if this latest rumor is true it would be worthy of much more than jumping. MMS (multimedia message service) support, or the ability to send text, pictures, and possibly video to other MMS capable phones, is one of the most requested iPhone features. iPhone Atlas has “received corroborated word that an AT&T employee memo lists MMS as a feature of iPhone 3G.” In the past most AT&T leaks haven’t been true, so take this rumor with little confidence. iPhone 3G’s service plan doesn’t include any text messages, so AT&T might announce a special MMS addition to the service plan if it’s really in the works.
