3G iPhone officially here, starts at $199, available July 11
Just as suspected, Steve Jobs announced the 3G iPhone today. Featuring the same display and camera as the current model, the new model not only features 3G faster than the Nokia N95, but also features GPS. The battery life is great, featuring 8-10 hours of talk time for regular 2G calls, and 5 hours for 3G. A full 300 hours of standby life as well. An 8GB model will be available for $199, featuring a glossy black back, while the 16GB version is $299 with the black back or a white back available. Available on July 11, the phone will be out in 22 countries that day, 70 countries this year.
