Microsoft’s head honchos Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer gave us a small preview of what Windows 7 will be like last night when speaking to Walt Mossberg at the All Things D (D for Digital) conference. The main feature the two mentioned was multi-touch integration, a-la Microsoft Surface. Basically, picture being able to touch everything and use all the same finger gestures as the Surface. The overall look is very similar to Vista besides some basic OS changes and apparently a new Task Bar design. Be prepared for a release, as they call it, 3 years after Vista or, in other words, 18 months from now.
