BlackBerry 9000/Bold is officially official

The BlackBerry Bold (aka the 9000) was finally announced today after being leaked to the public a while ago. It will launch on all major carriers around summertime, AT&T being the first. No price, but we do know some specs:

  • Two versions: 3G GSM (AT&T, T-Mobile) and a CDMA version with EV-DO (Verizon, Sprint)
  • $300 - $500 depending on carrier
  • Built-in WiFi and GPS
  • MicroSD card slot with 1GB of onboard storage
  • 2 megapixel camera with flash
  • Back panels can be switched
