Microsoft gives up hope on Yahoo

Microsoft and Yahoo have definitely been in a strange relationship lately. First Microsoft offers Yahoo $44.6 billion to buy the company, then Yahoo turns it down saying that it’s worth more, then Microsoft raises the offer and says to Yahoo, “Give me an answer soon.” Finally, after a long time without a word from Yahoo, Microsoft said goodbye. Microsoft has official pulled the offer from the table and will NOT be pursuing a hostile takeover. Apparently, the deal wouldn’t turn out to well for Microsoft and Yahoo wouldn’t be happy. Yahoo now says that they can finally refocus.

    Finally. I was wondering what would happen to my Yahoo! account if Microsoft took it over. Now I can sleep easy.
