App Store for iPhone and iPod touch announced
Posted on March 6th, 2008 by Jonathan Friedman

Apple announced App Store today which will allow users to install the official 3rd party apps via WiFi and EDGE directly from your iPhone or iPod touch. Its very similar to Installer.app, but its interface is much more userfriendly. This is one of the features to be included in software update 2.0 out in June. Some applications will be free, some will not, but developers will be able control prices and Apple will take 30% of the revenues for hosting, publishing, selling, etc.
