Third 1.1.3 Jailbreak method released

Now you have 3 options to upgrade your phone to a 1.1.3 jailbroken iPhone/iPod touch, and this seems like the easiest. If you have a 1.1.1 or 1.1.2 jailbroken device than all you do is install a piece of software and it takes about 40 minutes, but when it’s done you’ll have a new jailbroken fun. This jailbreak is totally computer free, so if you’re not near a computer don’t worry.

So here’s what you need to have, and do:

Have a 1.1.1 or 1.1.2 JAILBROKEN iPhone/iPod Touch
Make sure Installer.app and BSD subsystem are both up to date
Have Auto-Lock set to never (Settings>General>Auto-Lock>Never)

Add http://ijailbreak.com/repo.plist to Installer sources (Installer>Sources>Edit>Add)
Refresh your sources
Find the new category “iJailBreakMobile”
Download either the 1.1.1 or 1.1.2 installer (depending on which firmware you’re running)
Run the application “iJailbreak”, which should now be on your Home screen.
Follow the on-screen instructions, and then it will start. (It’s downloading the 1.1.3 firmware from Apple, so be patient)
Wait for it to finish, it’ll look like its not working (error messages, freezing, etc) but it’s still working.
Then it should reboot into 1.1.3, if it worked. (If it didn’t, then start the process over again)
iPOD TOUCH OWNERS: Install the app “iPod Touch Software Upgrade” from Installer. Then it should install a program called iJailbreak, just like the last one, and hit that and you should reboot with the new apps like Mail, Maps, Notes, etc… and to be able to “wiggle” your icons.
LAST STEP for 1.1.1 users - After you’ve finished everything above, install and run the app “Remove 1.1.3 Upgrade Data”, this will just remove some unnecessary data that was left on your hard drive after the upgrade. Only use this if you upgraded from 1.1.1 though.
