Apple announced that all major studios have signed on to release rentals on the iTunes store. $2.99 for the older titles and $3.99 for new releases. HD movies will also be available for $1 more. Currently over 1000 titles are online available for renting and movies will be added 30 days after they are released on DVD for rent. The rules for renting give 30 days to watch the movie and 24 hours after you click play to finish it. You can also transfer your rentals to your iPods or iPhone. Apple also announced a deal with Fox that some new movies will have something called an “iTunes Digital Copy” which allows you to put the DVD into your computer, then import it into iTunes and watch it as many times as you would like. The DVD can only be imported onto one computer though.
