iPod Touch 1.1.3 Firmware, is it worth it???
As many of you may now know, Steve Jobs announced the new iPhone and iPod Touch 1.1.3 firmwares today. During the event, he also announced that the 1.1.3 firmware update will be free, but the iPod Touch on the other hand, needs you to pay a fee of $20.00 on iTunes to be able to get it. Neither of these new firmwares are jailbroken yet, meaning that they will have no support for third party applications until the late February SDK (Software Developer Kit). Now, the big question is, Is it really worth it to pay $20.00 to update your iPod Touch to a new, unhackable firmware?
All it does is simply add a few new iPhone applications, which are available on hacked iPods through “a certain” installer source. Please leave us some comments on whether you believe in paying and upgrading your iPod Touch to 1.1.3, or keeping it at 1.1.1 or 1.1.2 and having it jailbroken to have as many third party applications as you want?
Please remember that the hacked iPods now have the touchmods.net Sip-VOIP applications, and many more applications that will NEVER be available in the SDK applications.
Please leave some comments with your answers.
