Posted on January 15th, 2008 by Jonathan Friedman
Shock of shocks, Apple released an update to iPhone and iPod touch today. The release (number 1.1.3) is very similar to the leaked firmware a couple of weeks ago. The new features include lyric support, chapter/language/subtitle support, multi-person SMS sending, Google Map’s with Location and Hybrid view, customizable Home Screen, WebClips, and more. The iPod touch also has a new update which adds all of the new iPhone features (except phone-required ones). But, Apple’s new iPod touches will have Mail, Maps, Weather, Stocks, and Notes built-in and current iPod touch users can upgrade to those apps for $19.99.
