The rumors were true. During today’s Keynote, Steve released the Macbook Air. The new laptop was just like our expectations being super-thin (only .76 inches thick), no optical drive, a multi-touch trackpad, 13.3 inch LED backlit screen, 1.6Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo processor standard (up to 1.8Ghz), 80GB hard-drive standard (64GB SSD drive for $1000 more), and Leopard built-in. For some high-res pics, Apple Insider provides a great gallery and Apple has posted a guided tour to make us drool even more. The laptop is available for pre-order today and will ship in two weeks.
