Macworld Keynote 2008 expectations
Posted on January 9th, 2008 by Jonathan Friedman
With only 6 days until the Apple event of the year, one can only wonder what grandmaster Steve will say. From 9:00 - 10:30 AM Pacific Time on January 15, Apple Fanboys around the world (including myself) will gather ’round a computer and check every technology website imaginable to see how the big show goes down. I personally will keep my eyes on Engadget for live coverage, but Gizmodo and many more will also be covering the event.
So in light of how close the Keynote is, I present you with my expectations of what Steve will announce…
- Talks about deals with studios on movie rentals and iTunes copies in DVDs. Releases iTunes 7.6.
- 3.5 million iPhones sold. iPhone software update 1.1.3 will be released and he’ll give sneak-preview of how the SDK will work.
- Revamps Mac mini and Apple TV
- One more thing… new addition to Mac laptops. Flash drive, no optical drive, 12 inch screen, black aluminum or regular aluminum, Macbook keyboard, iSight, multi-touch trackpad.
So there you have it, those are my predictions for Macworld 2008’s Keynote address. Of course, no one except Steve himself knows whats going to happen on that day, so we’ll just have to wait and see like the rest of the world.
