iPhone 1.1.3 firmware leaked? YES, proved real. AND VIDEO

YouTube Preview Image

According to Gear Live, they have gotten a sneak preview of the next iPhone firmware 1.1.3. This upgrade will most likely roll out during Steve’s upcoming keynote on January 15th, UPDATE now since the upgrade has leaked Apple may release it sooner. The release supposedly only works with a private key that hackers DO NOT have, thus it cannot be leaked to illegal downloads. The supposed REAL new features include:

  • Ability to move around applications (including Dock)
  • Make multiple pages on Home screen
  • Add web page bookmarks to Home screen
  • Send an SMS message to multiple recipients
  • support for Google Maps “My Location” and “Hybrid map view” features
  • and more that have not been leaked
THE REASON THAT IT SAYS “NATE” IN THE CARRIER LOGO IS BECAUSE IT WAS MADE BEFORE THE UPGRADE USING “MAKE IT MINE”, THIS CHANGE STAYS EVEN AFTER SOFTWARE UPDATES. THIS VIDEO IS REAL.

Pictures after the jump.

This update will hopefully be a nice addition to iPhone, but if this is all Steve announces iPhone-wise at his keynote, there will most likely be plenty of angry iPhone users waiting for some more features. In February, the coveted SDK for iPhone will be released though, and then all of our third-party app dreams will become realities.
